Kathmandu – Thailand’s Ambassador to Nepal Vosita Vorasaph on Friday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at latter’s official residence, Baluwatar. Matters related to measures for enhancing friendly relations between the two nations were discussed between the two, it has been said.

Extending best wishes to ambassador Vorasaph for his successful tenure, PM Oli expressed his confidence that during his tenure as ambassador to Nepal, new dimensions between the two countries could be explored. Tourist flow to Buddhist pilgrimages of both the countries should be increased so as to further strengthen the cultural and people’s level relations connected to Buddhist religion practicing in both the countries, he viewed. Although diplomatic relations between the two countries took place before 62 years, its relations dated back long ago, he said. On the occasion, ambassador Vorasaph viewed that tourist inflow into Nepal could be upped through direct flights from Thailand to Bhairahawa Airport in Nepal.
