Kathmandu: ‘Song of Swallows’, a translated version of Gauthaliharuko Geet was released here on Friday.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari released the book at a programme organised by Creative Women of artist Aruna Hingmang.
Similarly, President Bhandari inaugurated the nine-day solo painting exhibition of artist Aruna Hingmang. Hingmang has drawn the subjective paintings in Koirala’s poem collection. These paintings have been kept in the expo. This is the fourth solo painting expo of Hingmang.
On the occasion, National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire said that Nepali literature could be taken to the international arena by writing creation having Nepal’s originality.
He said, ‘We can win Nobel Prize in the literature by writing creations on the basis of our arts and culture.”
Similarly, senior litterateur Satya Mohan Joshi said that Nepali creations should be translated into English to familiarise the country in the international arena. (Photo available)RSS
